CLManager - Collada Utilities

CLManager is a utility program designed to aid in the content management of Collada DAE files. The program supports versions 1.4.0 and 1.4.1, and saves to both versions.

About CLManager

Nodes can be copied, removed and rearranged. Libraries can be created, removed, sorted or merged. Node ids and their references can also be changed.

Two Collada files can be merged either by importing individual nodes within the libraries or by importing whole libraries from another Collada file. Select the nodes or libraries to be imported. Other dependent nodes or libraries that are referenced will also be imported. If the same id is used in both files, the id of the imported node will be automatically renamed, and all references to it will be changed appropriately.

Future Developments

Collada is increasingly being used to manage 3D content created by a variety of content creation software. Although Collada is designed to ease the transition of models from one program to another, there will inevitably be occasions where the Collada files must be modified during this transition. CLManager will be enhanced to aid in this process. We would be grateful to receive suggestions for functionality that could be added to CLManager.

System requirements: Microsoft Windows 2000/XP. The program does not run on Windows 98.
